‘We Both Had Illustrious Careers’- Roy Jones Jr. Calls Out Glenn McCrory

One of the all-time boxing greats, Roy Jones Jr, recently went toe to toe with Mike Tyson in an exhibition bout. He performed substantially well in this fight, considering his age.

With this fight not even completing a month, ‘Captain Hook’ is already looking to build on his comeback by taking on yet another boxer. Jones recently name-dropped a British boxer, Glenn McCrory, in a subtle callout.

Jones affirmed, “Well if you’re looking to come back out and fight and come out of retirement, I know I’m not the guy that you had quarrels with.

“I know you never crossed my paths and I’ve never crossed yours, but I also know we both had two illustrious careers. If you are really serious about coming out of retirement. I’m the dude that just can’t say no.

“So you want to make it happen, you’ll know what to do. Peace. Merry Christmas again. Happy New Year,” he concluded.

Nobody ever expected Jones to call out McCrory out of the blue. Veterans of boxing are now coming out of their retirement to start off their run in the sport again.

Since the Tyson vs Jones exhibition fight, there have been many speculations about big-wigs of the boxing returning to fight for some good cause.

McCrory, too, might have thought on the same juncture and he was quick enough to have an opponent lined up for himself.
